“You can’t do that”...

Fired from banks for being too loud.

Constantly in trouble at jobs for having an opinion.

In corporate I was continuously told I “can’t”, while at the same time being told if I just fell in line I could be successful because I am a natural leader.

Then, declaring to the world I could FINALLYYYYY do it my way I entered the online space…

Just to be told over & over again “You can’t do it like that”, “You have to have it like this”, “People won’t/ don’t buy that”.

I will never forget, early in my business coaching career I had a call with a brand strategist. They looked at my website, my IG, my copy, & said “You make HOW much?”.  To which I said multiple six figures, sustaining $20- 30 k months easily”.  (This was within my FIRST 6 months in business).

He was flabbergasted, couldn’t explain it.

And over the years I have lost my mind & gone back to “if I just fall in line, do this strategy, be at this table I can make more impact, reach more people, & therefore receive more income”. 

Now, let me be clear STRATEGY matters.  Refinement matters.  Consciously building a business matters.

The point is that it HAS TO be done your way.  No exceptions.  You will never fit into the round holes or loop-de-loops that “experts” tell you that you must.

AND for people like US, the misfits, the blacksheep, the rebels, & revolutionaries,  it ALWAYS will fall flat at best, kick you straight on your ass, “this is Sparta” style, or rip your damn business down from the hinges at worst, if you attempt to BE something or DO something just to get a result, even if the result is from the heart.

WE DO NOT GO TO TABLES HERE.

We  do not wait to be invited.

We do not wait for the permission slip.

We create our own tables & give ourselves our own permission slips.

I built the castle, I open the door to the specific rooms that we call programs & services, & you can start building your own damn table within the room.

It will NEVER feel like you fit in, and that's the point you aren’t meant to.

Your ideas will always cause people to say “You can’t do that, people don’t buy that” BECAUSE YOU ARE AN INNOVATOR.

You are ahead of your time.  You SHOULD get sideways looks from people saying you can’t do that because people won’t buy it, otherwise you would be a zombie following the crowd, following what OTHERS tell you works.  

Everything didn’t exist, couldn’t be done, until IT WAS.

So are you the one doing it, or the one following it?

Draw your line in the sand.
