Is The "Wild Woman" Actually Free?

We are living in a world where "embodiment" & the "goddess" is warped into wounded maiden- pretty , polite, & pleasing. Soft spoken. Yielding to everyone & everything while she bleeds herself dry seeking the external validation & approval of the masses.

People speak of embodiment or the “wild woman” yet often have no idea what wild is.  Wild as long as you are working within preconceived notions of what it means to be a woman or to be “unleashed” (not fully unleashed, just sort of to appease the masses).

Even projections on horses as sweet, mirrors, majestic, kind, empathetic, etc  reveal our bias towards the wild.  Yes, they are all of those things (sometimes!) yet if you watch a healthy herd long enough you will see them assert their boundaries & hold their space within the hierarchy.

The domesticated horses, no matter how far removed from his wild counterpart also has that natural instinct.  The wild aspect.  They hold their boundaries without worrying that the other herd members will “feel bad” or be angry with them. When boundaries are crossed ears are pinned, nips are given.

In the spiritual spaces even when boundaries are held, women are direct, or unleash even a glimmer of their unfiltered truth, there is often a heaviness of “What will people think”, “Will this impact sales”, “Will I be kicked out of the tribe/ sisterhood”.

We are so disconnect from nature & it shows in the projections on women (in particular) who are embodied, strong in their boundaries, direct, etc.

One of the underworld aspects to move through in being a leader is not attaching to the projections others place on you: Whether positive or negative.  Before you know it, if you allow this fear to consume you, you end up partly dead to the world or overly sensitive to the world.  Battered & exhausted because even then, bled dry, you still won’t be enough for some.

So we all have a choice.

Embrace our fullness, our wild, and allow the herd to thin if it must.

Or continue to be addicted to perfection trying to curate an image that everyone will love, while still not being enough for many.

Is the wild woman actually free or a tag line used to keep women tame & in control within their cage?

I will leave that for everyone to decide.

I, for one, truly believe I had to walk through the fires this year to really see the fullness of the truth.  Richard Rudd wasn’t kidding when he said I will be dragged to the depths of hell as part of my journey.

I am looking forward to the day we purchase a farm as the goal is to rescue horses where part of the curriculum is simply just sitting & watching the horses.  Not the “Equine Assisted Therapy” we often see, and that which I have been involved in as a counsellor & facilitator.  Horses deeply conditioned themselves to be able to be handled in such situations; but truly watching horses in their natural environment.  In their element.  Not expected to reflect or mirror anything, simply allowed to be themselves.

Talk about a dream.
