The 2nd Line Dancer & Natural in Business

An unstudied air.  The dancer.  There is just something about you, as you glide through life & business, that others simply cannot look away from.

Pure magnetism through simply doing what you are great at, you teach us how good life gets to be when we simply leverage our strengths & be ourselves.  At the core such a beautiful message of simplicity.

I love the archetype of the dancer for many reasons.  The 2nd line in the Sphere of Purpose in Gene Keys represents the spine & posture.  When I think of a natural dancer the first thing that comes to mind is beautiful posture, just like a talented dressage rider.  The posture is mesmerizing.  You can’t look away.  Their movement, their grace, pulls you in.  

Richard Rudd said: “It is through the spine that you find your Core Stability, and your spine dictates your physical posture. Genius for example does not flow out into the world through a stooped posture. Genius sings out through the body, coming from our inner alignment with the earth’s core.”

Posture shows us the alignment of the whole body, which then can show us the alignment of business.  Stress can cause the chest & shoulder muscles to tighten, back muscles to lengthen, causing a constricted forward posture.  Sitting too much causes stagnation in the 2nd line, a line meant to be moving, gliding, dancing, through life.  We can see this postural “fault” in the hips & low back.

Those that work with me know that I often turn to posture to see restriction or constriction in the body, which is reflected in the business & ability to receive wealth, however for the 2nd line it is even more critical.

The archetype of the dancer & posture also gives us insight into the best business models for the 2nd line, something with structure that has flexibility, that flows.  The back bone of the business model supports the dancing of the 2nd line.

Lack of structure can be incredibly detrimental to the 2nd line’s genius & self expression.

Some more wisdom for the 2nd line:

1. You need to do the things you are best at – the things you love – the things you can do without even thinking. The archetype of the dancer refers to an inherent natural gift that emanates from you. When you trust in this gift, it just flows out of you with a beautiful, natural unstudied air.
2. At its best the 2nd line is also unselfconscious, like the dancer who becomes lost in the joy of the dance.  As you glide through life & business you are here to change the way people move.
